On some road trips, there is a calling by wanderlust. On my recent
road trip to Eynsham, Oxfordshire, this craving was satiated. We floored
the accelerator of a M coupe for 3 hours straight and never looked
back. Some people dislike long car journeys,
I was one of them.
Rolling past the solid gates of Eynsham Hall, I marveled at our
home for the night. The long stretch of driveway to the main building
gave an added touch of historical secrecy. The conventional outlook of
the building was betrayed by the modern furnishings
inside the reception. In every corner of this Grade II structure, yet
another surprise awaited our discovery.
Unfortunately, we did not have the luxury of time to explore the acres of hidden stories. Till another time, I promise.
