If Geneva was a man, he would be an incredibly charming white haired old man. There is this tranquil aura pervading the city and time seemingly slows down.
Here, despite it's breathtaking picturesque view, I fell head over heels with the Swiss cuisine. Like a little girl having her first crush. And my lover, Le Saviès. Was it the succulent yet flavorful escargots kiss? Perhaps the cosy warm fondue bath, or maybe, the comforting touch of Emince de veau à la zurichoise.
Picture a traditional Swiss restaurant tastefully decorated coupled with the joyous singing of a sweet old man with his musical sidekicks. Top notch service in harmonious synchronization. Perfection. An absolute delight in a night of October.
You will be forgiven to only credit Geneva for it's majestic water landmark, the Jet d'Eau. More often than not, people indulge themselves in man made wonders than to realize the true beauty of the natural world. I was able to soak in that natural realm albeit for during the cruise hour. That one hour of nature bonding seem like an eternity in itself . It's amazing how rejuvenated one feels connecting back to nature.
On a whole, this trip proved to be more than fulfilling, more than just a trip across the seas. It's a trip that you yearn to repeat and revel in.
