Not too long ago, I wrote a rather short post on my Facebook about my thoughts and feelings on the misfortune of Nepal, which is not something I usually do. The post ended of with the start of my 'Wishbone for Nepal Earthquake Relief' movement. Not that it is anything big, but this movement I believe made me feel something I've never felt before, as cliche as that sounds. It might have even made me a better person, one with a clearer perspective as well (or at least I hope it did). Hence, I thought I might write a proper post about this whole thing here on my space.
Never have I been one who to urge people around me to do something in particular, probably due to my strong belief for personal autonomy. And even though I have done volunteer works, fundraising or just simply made a donation in the past, this has certainly been nothing alike. I do apologise if I am conveying my feelings/thoughts poorly here, but not to be exaggerating or whatsoever, I guess this is something unexplainable. And I would just like to sincerely thank all those who have got involved and supported this movement. I can honestly and confidently say that this definitely would not have been possible without your support so yes thank you.
Today was the second batch of donations made. So thank you once again! And for those of you who would like to donate as well, for £9.99 you get one wishbone necklace, they come in both gold and silver, with all the profits going to Red Cross Nepal Earthquake Appeal. Simply click on the link below. A receipt of the donation will be sent to you and shipping will be free worldwide.
