Thirty minutes is all you need

Sometimes, in the midst of life chaos, we wish to be able to dish out comfort food to nourish our shivered souls. But the thought of time and ingredients needed, is very often a complete turn-off. Hence, during the past week, I took the liberty of food mapping with my magic markers, paper and some inspiration to think of what would be the perfect meal for a busy, lazy yet gastronomically conscious student.

Which brought me to...
Salmon x ricotta wrap
Creamy avocado pasta
Tiramisu trifles

First. Salmon x Ricotta Wrap.
What you need:
1-2 slices of Smoked Salmon
1 tablespoon of Ricotta
1 Wrap
Ground black pepper
Chopped Chives
A hint of Lemon Juice

Simply place the slice(s) of salmon on the wrap and add the ricotta followed by some pepper and chives on top. Finally, serve with a light squeeze of lemon juice.

Next. Creamy Avocado Pasta. (as inspired by ohsheglows)
What you need:
Half a medium sized Avocado
1/4 of a Lemon Juiced
1 Garlic Clove
1/4 teaspoon of Kosher Salt
Some Basil
1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
A serving of Pasta (Linguine was used here)
Ground Black Pepper
Topping it off with some Caviar

Start by blending together the garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. Later, add in the avocado, basil and salt. You can blend it with a blender or a food processor or anything else that would be able to do the job. When it's all smooth and creamy, add in the cooked pasta and top it off with some black pepper and caviar if you wish.

To end. Tiramisu Trifle. (as inspired by Food Network)
What you need:
1/4 pound of Mascarpone
1 and half tablespoon of Sugar
6 Ladyfingers
1/2 cup of Espresso
1/2 tablespoon of rum
Whipped cream
Cocoa Powder

Mix the mascarpone with the sugar. Place it at the very bottom of your bowl. In a cup, mix the espresso with the rum. Next, dip the ladyfingers in the mixture(espresso/rum) then carefully place them on the top of your bowl. To finish, layer the whipping cream at the very top of your tiramisu as you sprinkle a generous amount of cocoa power to serve.

Enjoy.
xx
